Ingredients

  • 2 Racks of spare ribs
  • Big Poppa’s Competition Stash Seasoning
  • Big Poppa’s Sweet Money Hot Seasoning
  • Peanut Butter
  • Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle Sauce
  • Raspberry Jelly
  • Agave
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • 1 Lime
  • Peanuts
  • Soy Sauce
  • Garlic

Directions

  1. Preparation: Preheat your smoker or oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135°C).
  2. Trimming and Seasoning: Optionally, trim the ribs and remove the membrane from the back of the rack. Liberally season both sides of the ribs with Big Poppa’s Competition Stash and Sweet Money Hot Seasonings. Allow the seasoned ribs to rest, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  3. Smoking/Oven Time: Place the seasoned ribs on the smoker or in the oven for 1 hour. This initial cooking phase will start to infuse the ribs with smoky goodness.
  4. Wrapping the Ribs: Carefully remove the ribs from the smoker/oven. Prepare a large piece of foil. On the foil, add peanut butter, Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle Sauce, Raspberry Jelly, a drizzle of agave, two generous slices of butter, and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Place the rack of ribs on this flavorful bed and add more Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle Sauce and brown sugar on top. Wrap the ribs securely in the foil.
  5. Continued Cooking: Return the wrapped ribs to the smoker/oven and cook for another 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This step will allow the ribs to become tender while soaking up the delightful flavors from the sauce and seasonings.
  6. Final Touches: Once the ribs are done cooking, remove them from the smoker/oven. Unwrap the foil and reveal the masterpiece within. Slather the ribs with Big Poppa’s Peanut Butter and Jelly BBQ Sauce, ensuring each rib is generously coated.
  7. Presentation: Slice the ribs into individual portions, allowing your guests to savor the deliciousness you’ve created. To elevate the presentation, drizzle Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle Sauce over the sliced ribs and add a touch of smooth peanut butter. Finally, sprinkle crushed peanuts on top to add texture and an extra layer of flavor.
  8. Sauce Creation: In a mixing bowl, combine 6 ounces of smooth peanut butter, 4 tablespoons of raspberry jelly, the juice of 1 lime, a splash of soy sauce, and a hint of garlic. Stir in 4 ounces of Blues Hog Raspberry Chipotle Sauce to create your unique Peanut Butter and Jelly BBQ sauce.
