Big Poppa’s Tri-Tip Two Ways on the Santa Maria Grill

Elevate your BBQ game with Big Poppa’s Tri-Tip Two Ways on the Santa Maria Grill. Perfect for any grill master looking to impress, this recipe offers two distinct flavor profiles that will leave your taste buds dancing. Whether you prefer the bold and spicy kick of Korean Gochuchang or the classic savory blend of Big Poppa’s Double Secret Seasoning, this tri-tip recipe is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat your grill.
  2. Trim tri-tips if needed.
  3. Season 2 of the tri-tips with Big Poppa’s Double Secret Seasoning and set aside to let the meat sweat.
  4. Rub Korean Gochuchang Sauce all over the other 2 tri-tips and season with Big Poppa’s Money Seasoning. Let sweat for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Take the tri-tips to your grill and check them every 5-10 minutes, flipping them each time. Repeat for about 30 minutes. Finish with high heat to get a nice sear. Pull at 138°F and let rest.
  6. Toast your baguette.
  7. Slice the tri-tip against the grain into thin slices.
  8. Spread melted garlic butter over the toasted bread.
  9. Spread some of St. Elmo's Horseradish Sauce on the bread.
  10. Add some of the tri-tip slices seasoned with Double Secret and top with the bun.
  11. For the tri-tip seasoned with Money, add some more Korean Gochuchang Sauce and sprinkle some more of Big Poppa’s Money Seasoning.
  12. Enjoy!
