Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Prep the Ribs:

    • Trim your short ribs if needed.
    • Season the ribs generously with Big Poppa’s Double Secret Seasoning. Let the seasoned meat sit for about 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Make the Marinade:

    • In a blender, combine:
      • 1 cup of soy sauce
      • 1/2 cup of water
      • 1/4 cup of rice vinegar
      • 1/2 cup of chopped white onion
      • 1 chopped Asian pear
      • 6 cloves of fresh garlic
      • 1/2 teaspoon of Big Poppa’s Double Secret Seasoning
      • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
      • 1 cup of brown sugar
    • Blend until smooth.
  3. Marinate the Ribs:

    • Place your short ribs in a large container and pour in half of the marinade.
    • Refrigerate and let the meat marinate for a couple of hours to enhance the flavor.
  4. Grill the Ribs:

    • Preheat your grill.
    • Grill the short ribs on each side for about 40 minutes until they develop a nice char.
  5. Finish in the Oven:

    • Remove the ribs from the grill and place them on a large piece of foil, meat side down.
    • Pour some marinade over the ribs, wrap them tightly in the foil, and place them in a baking pan.
    • Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the ribs are fully tender.
  6. Assemble the Dish:

    • Cook your noodles according to the package instructions.
    • Lay a base of noodles on your serving plate.
    • Slice the short ribs and place them over the noodles.
    • Pour some of the leftover marinade (thickened with cornstarch) over the top.
    • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Enjoy!

    • Serve hot and enjoy the rich, savory flavors of Big Poppa’s Short Ribs and Noodles.
