The Backwoods Smoker Fat Boy took the Jack Daniels Championship in 2007 in which the winner of that contest used only one Fat Boy for all 4 KCBS categories. Clearly capacity and versatility make this a must-have for avid competitors and backyard chefs.
The Fat Boy follows the tradition of the Backwoods Smoker line, being a versatile cooker that can be easily transported for competition and catering. This competition BBQ has a commercial fire pan which allows the ash to fall into the catch pan below it. The Fat Boy has four racks 19 1/2" square which are spaced 4 1/4" apart. It's external dimensions are 27" x 38" x 24". It has an excellent capacity and will deliver competition BBQ level performance.
With the Fat Boy by Backwoods Smoker you will enjoy a cooking time of 6 to 8 hours with the charcoal capacity of 12 -18 lbs.
