Season halfed whole chicken with salt and pepper then marinate in pressed garlic, rosemary, lemon zest, juice of 1/2 lemon and olive oil. Had gas grill on meduim heat. Place chicken skin side down on direct heat and place foiled brick on top. Cook until skin of chicken has developed a crust, appox. 20 min., remove bricks and place chicken skin side up on top rack, finish cooking with lid closed til done, approx. 25 min. Remove chicken, foil and let rest.
Finished off the meal with parmesan orzo done risotto style really simple) and grilled zucchini. Drizzled dish with a little lemon butter oil. Ate outside on a perfect desert evening.
